Quiz Answer:  B. 48%

About 5 percent of people obtain jobs through the “open” job market meaning through advertised positions, whether on line, print, or other media.  Twenty-four percent land jobs by contacting companies directly without knowing of a specific open position. Twenty-three percent find jobs through employment agencies, college career-services offices and executive-search firms. That leaves 48 percent, almost have of all job seekers who find their positions through referrals and networking.
